Cheaper car insurance

If you want cheaper car insurance, try putting your job as Pilot or flying instructor (me £240 fully comp).
I always get cheap quotes having tried different occupations for comparison on comparison sites.
The only job cheaper, Farmer, by £10.

I think the OP has just been experimenting so far!

Don't put delivery driver - I got refused a quote when I did that!

But I quite like putting retired now - it's kind of liberating somehow (and it beats getting up in the dark)!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

This is a joke really. In my opinion, Pilots drive home after being up most of the night flying through different time zones. Surely it's logical to say they are a higher risk in that respect..... Food for thought

Clearly they don't, but for long haul flights at least one of their sectors will be through the night.

My job is flying instructor, so no problem.
Thought it might be cheaper if said I was a teacher, the quote shot up £100, as apparently you can bend your job title slightly for better premium.
So tried different professions and all quotes went up at least £50 to £100.
Farmers traditionally have cheap quotes, tried that and was only £10 cheaper than mine. (I suppose Landrovers don't go fast enough to crash).
So tells you something about who claims or safer drivers.
