Phone mounting in the dash storage unit

Post by pupeno » Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:06 am

Has anybody mounted their phone in the dash storage unit? I'm trying to figure out whether I want to get Z4 with nav or without.

There are way more cars without it than with it, so, it means paying less for about the same. Also, I think I can get better navigation systems on my phone.

The disadvantage is that their nav system looks better. So, I want to see how good I can make my phone look in there.

That install is horrible. Should be enough to put anyone off buying a car without iDrive!

I saw that install when I first joined that forum and all it did was reassure me that getting the OEM nav option in my last two BMW's was the absolute right thing to do.
