Newbie service light question
Service intervals are determined by mileage and time.
Based on your photo I'd say your car is due a service this month - but with 23,000 miles to go I suspect it has hardly been used in the last couple of years!

Is the clock/date when brake fluid change is due ? Check your handbook.

And if you don't have iDrive you can get the information via the stalk on the left of the steering column. With the engine running, use the toggle to reach Service Info, then the button on the end of the stalk to step through the individual service items. All this in in your handbook (assuming you were given one when you purchased the car - if not you can download one).

Thanks all
I went through the menus and found it's this one: Indicates I need a 'roadworthiness test' aka an MOT but as that's just been done I'll reset it ...
