What would you buy?
Still not a whole lot of choice compared to a few years ago. NA cars are a pretty good bet atm and the whole market has gone up in value.
I had a 2005 Boxster S and it was the 3.2 so same engine smaller bore and it had bore scoring along with a few other things and needed 11k spent on it. Only had 65k on it.

Thank you , I have really enjoyed owning it , there are a couple of minor issues the media interface is a mix of touch screen & buttons so not quite as slick as the BMW and roof up rear visablity is intresting but otherwise totally amazing

Yes,
I would hope that a £70,000 Boxster should be devoid of trouble..
You have to expect niggles witha mass produced Z4,thats why its much cheaper i guess

Considering Selling 35is, what is it worth?
So an update to this. I have owned the 35is for 12 months now and it is an amazing car. How ever I have just been and seen a Aston Martin Vantage 4.7 Manual. I was blown away, the interior was to die for! I never thought I would say I miss manuals, but I miss having a manual sports car!
I am still on the fence around selling the 35is, Im not in a rush and just taking my time and enjoying it in the mean time. The Aston is tempting and I couldnt justify having 3 cars so would likely sell the 35is if the Aston lured me in lol! The R8 is out of the equation for sure, need to see if AM warrantys can be applied to used cars.
Thanks

Make sure you get that warranty, the cost if anything goes wrong but even the cost of maintenance is going to be painful.

Come on, sunnydays, you've got to do better than an ... ... Aston Martin.
What they say about them is true. Beautiful, but unreliable and fiercely expensive to maintain.
My Jaguar indy, whom I have every reason to trust, will 'do' Astons, too. However, he told me they can embarrass him: because parts are so expensive, he has to show the original invoices to customers to prove he's not cheating them.

All performance cars are expensive to run. The benefit of the Z4 is that BMW will foot the bill for £600/year.
My Z4 must be getting close to £15k in warranty claims but so far all I've paid is the £50/month. The warranty paid for itself in the first month of ownership with a HPFP and LPFP replacement.

The vantage’s are all Ford and Volvo parts take it anywhere but an Aston dealer and you’ll find they are not as bad as once thought. Do some research
