Considering Selling 35is, what is it worth?
Hey all,
So I am heavily considering selling my 35is as another car has caught my eye. But I am unsure as to what it is realistically worth. I will list the spec below:
2010 Z4 35is
Alpine White (Wrapped in 3M Gloss Fiery Orange)
39k Miles
LCI Side Indicators
Has quite alot of extras, no I drive though
Eibach Pro Springs (have a full set of original factory too)
Zito ZS05 alloys (once again have full set of originals M326s)
Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tyres with 7.5mm all round (literally new lol)
Full service history with an extra oil change via BMW shortly after purchase
Always run on shell v power 99
Folder full of receipts and work
Garage stored and never driven in the rain (where possible)
I can see a 2010 35is with 60k is going for £17955 on autotrader, a 2011 with 30k is £21750
The car is immaculate, what do you guys think is a realistic price for it?
Thanks

I think you will put a lot of potential customers off with the wrap...
Price if wrap removed
£18.995 and take best bid

Hmm I was thinking this, the wrap does look amazing But I know it can put people off.
Should I remove the wrap and put the stock alloys / springs on? It looks beautiful with the current combo tho bleh

I agree with removing the wrap.
Bit crazy to sell though after all those mods. The tyres alone will have cost you a small fortune. What car has caught your eye?

if I was in the market I'd be much more interested in the orange than white. Just make sure you supply enough photos of before wrap so people are not put off by "questionable" paintwork.

Agreed remove the wrap!
I wouldn’t buy a wrapped car as who knows what the wrap could be hiding??
If you want to pm me your ref and details of extras, I will get you the trade prices for it to give you some idea.

Keep it, sunnydays, keep it!
Because of its mods, you'll lose a shed-load of money trading it in/selling it.
And what, for reasonable money, are you going to replace it with, anyway?

As it’s immaculate I’d take the wrap off, personally there’s no way I would buy a car over 2k with a wrap, let alone a 35is. Pop the standard springs and wheels back on too, let the car sell itself rather than you limit your audience and have to keep explaining what’s been done etc. A mint standard 35is will be much easier to sell than a modded one imho, why give yourself grief?
Have we seen an E85 M....or a naughty little Boxster for example..??

Thank you everyone for the input, The car I am looking at is a manual 4.2 Audi R8. I will be having the wrap removed relatively soon, and will have the factory alloys put back on to the car, at which point I will then list the car for sale!

Drove an R8 around knockhill last year.....
Really liked the fact that it was much more like an everyday usable car, rather than a highly strung supercar....

I'll give it a few months before you yearn for the V10 S-tronic. That turns it into a proper supercar with everyday usability. In spyder form, it's the only thing I'd swap my Z for. Fair bit more money likesunnydays wrote: ↑Mon Oct 30, 2017 11:33 pm Thank you everyone for the input, The car I am looking at is a manual 4.2 Audi R8. Have a read up about oil consumption...
£2000 for a clutch change
£2000 for brakes
Mag ride dampers are £2500 a set...
Tyres do 10k max...
If you get one thats had this work done i would think you will be in for relatively cheap motoring.. Servicing is pretty expensive in the dealers, but again the periods are extended so not too bad...
Have you driven one yet ?
Boring and no faster than what you have got, save your money...

If I was you I’d scratch the itch. Provided you don’t pay over the odds you can always change again when you are ready.

I had a V10 Spyder last year. I only kept it 4 months, it was a sterile experience. I have had a lot of cars and to be honest the R8 was one of the most boring i have owned. The 4.2 is not that quick. I had my 35is at the same time and my wife could never believe i always wanted to take the Z if we went out.
Super expensive to run.
Dont do it....
