A good drive and a good idea?

Post by mcbutler » Sun Oct 29, 2017 10:27 am

I went for a spin across Dartmoor yesterday afternoon, twisty roads great visibility amazing views (too many sheep).
Whilst gliding my 23i around the curves, slotting in the gear changes to keep the six at its optimum 'volume' it occurred to me that it might be a great idea to post our favourite drives, maybe adding video from action cams if anyone has them??
Your thoughts my friends??

Sounds like a very good idea, indeed.

Did your Dartmoor drive include any ... er ... 'quick' 8) driving?

I planned a blast across Dartmoor today but it was cut short after picking up a puncture after a bit of play time around an industrial estate. Did have some fun on the new road around the Hemerdon mine. You should check it out if you haven't already

So far my favourite road is probably the a285 from Petworth to Goodwood.

The A29 from Dorking down to the coast as well.

Need to explore the north more.

I did it again today, across Dartmoor via postbridge, into Exeter for a cafe Nero and a de-stress and then back again, 105 miles, not a hiccup. Only spoiler was a bunch of around 200 twats who thought it was a good idea to do a sponsored cycle ride over the moor, place is a death trap on a bike, cars swerving into oncoming traffic on corners to miss them riding 2 abreast etc. Not one of em insured I bet.

Let us know next time. Dartmoor is one of my favourite places on this little planet of ours. :D  Up there all day today walking. Took the daily for the drive up though. :tumbleweed: It was wet when I set of.
