Started yesterday and the changes didn't cost me anything as i had the various bits in.

Advice on the front number plate, i was thinking of lowering it and attaching it to the mesh........

Any opinions out there on this, or has anyone done this.

thanks sal.

The "M" badge on the wing looks out of place if you ask me.

Sorry not keen on the NP size why 4 screws on the rear? Looks out of place especialy with another 2 either side of it. Are CF NP's legal? They look like show plates.

Not keen on M badges on non M cars either.

Stubby is cool tho

No they are not show plates road legal, just cut the ends of either side as they were on my Audi TT.

Screwed on as thats where the holes were on the TT, This car has lots of screw holes as it has had several different number plates on by the looks of it, so until i get the rear sprayed black il have to have the 2 screws on either side just to cover the holes up.

The M badge yes i know i left it on, but it looks like it will be coming of.

The front plate would be illegal anyway as there is not enough white between the letters and the edge of the plate. Im sure it should be 25mm at the edges.

Update :D

As per uk specifications my number plates are legal there is no restriction on the number plate length, there is on
the height for obvious reasons.

No wonder i haven't been stopped in 5 years :driving:

thanks

No manufacturer address or BS mark on the plates I can see though so technically not legal! The carbon effect lettering is a grey area as strcitly speaking the regulations say black lettering but be harsh to get done for that.

I wouldn’t lower the front plate into the mesh, the intercooler lives behind that & it’s not a great idea to restrict the airflow to it :o

They must have changed the regulations on these as there used to be a different measurement for the top , bottom and sides of the plate.
