Took a bit of finding but for those of us that are fairly new to the e89, this is quite an interesting watch....

I remember that episode. Really wanted one and also thought the previous generation was ugly!

Prefer the new lineup TG now though. Feels like they actually review the cars.
2008 Z4MC: heavy wheels | crap suspension | skittish rear end | wobbly engine | not enough induction noise | underwhelming turn in | inconsistent braking | lardy battery | chubby steering wheel

I thought he missed the point - wasn't his review supposed to be about Sports Cars?

Yet he then he prefers the SLK and E89 which are more like GT cars, to the E85 and 370Z which are more like sports cars! :?

Maybe if BMW had made a Z4M with soft suspension for a comfy ride and an auto like most SLKs he would have liked it! :headbang:
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

They review many cars not just sports cars, and the 370z is a gt car.....

The 35i he reviewed was manual so your auto point is moot

Maybe I misheard, but I thought he described them as sports cars.

I only mentioned auto because he liked SLKs, and you'd struggle to find a manual one of those!

I wonder occasionally what the world would have made of the Z4 if it hadn't come on RFTs.

+1. On my 60 mile motorway journey having collected my zed I almost thought I had made a mistake.

My experience, too.

If non-RFTs hadn't improved it, I'd have sold it. Fortunately, they turned it into a very good car.

This forum is the only place that I have heard people saying that the E89 is not a sports car but a GT car.
Who exactly decides what is what?
I don't care what it is classed as but I find it funny how people seem determined to make sure its always referred to as a GT car and not a sports car.
