Leather choice?
First off thank you all for your time, effort and patience, it's much appreciated
OK so after many questions, answer, reviews and changes of minds! I've finally got the spec of the car down! I now just need to decide red or black leather...on a white car.
Which is the most popular colour choice for owners on here and any cons with the red?
Final spec (bar colour of leather!): White, manual 20i M-Sport with comfort pack, heated seats and 5 year service pack. (Got to stick to the budget!!!) I know the 28i is only £40 a month more on a PCP, but that £40 over the year is the insurance & tax paid for.
Thanks again

Re: Leather choice?
Get the heated steering wheel !!!
I got it (mainly because it was £155).
Was a bit nippy this morning so turned it on.
In the real winter this extra will be the best thing I've ever ordered

White and walnut I think looks good but it's not to everyone's taste (I would prefer the walnut a few shades darker)Baronbb wrote:I went with walnut, but that's just me
White and red has been done to death IMO.
White and black is a safe option and still looks great.

Mine is a 20i Mineral White with beige interior. Looks great!
Below a link to an image I googled so you can see the combination:

Re: Leather choice?
On my last one I had red leather and would have that again. Black it too bland
Like most people have said, heated steering wheel is an option I miss loads as I don't have it on my new z

Re: Leather choice?
Cheers guys, I have a heated steering wheel on my current car, it's not been used once in the 15 months I've had it! Only going for the heated seats to keep the wife happy, if I could I'd just have the passenger one heated lol.
@ luix I did think beige to start with, but the dealer said white is always black or red inside!!!!
Edit, just had a look on AT...it does look nice doesn't it lol.....just when i thought it was all sorted.

Re: Leather choice?
Had the same dilemma, discounted black first (looks a bit boring imho, the other colours look like a cost option), then ivory (looks nice but can be a bastard to keep clean), then it was a toss up between walnut and red - walnut is more special but the walnut in real life is a bit too light as a previous poster has said (again imho). Best thing to do is have a look in real life really as none of the pictures do it justice.
Final recommendation, have a test drive of a 20i and 28i. Then you will be certain that the 20i is the right one for you - just make sure you put them in sport mode

Re: Leather choice?
I have driven the 20i and thought it was fast enough (forgot all about putting it in sport mode!), I'd say that 80-90% of my driving is in 30-40 speed zones anyway, hence why I thought the extra power of the 28i would be an overkill on a day to day basis??? I also thought that the red leather in real life wasn't as bright as I thought it would be...bit more sporty looking as well! I can get the 20i M-Sport for £379 per month, then just pay for the CP & heated seats upfront. Target from the start was £400 max.Avallon wrote: Final recommendation, have a test drive of a 20i and 28i. Re: Leather choice?
@xpar, don't listen to the dealer. It will be your car, so spec it to your liking
Something that could help you choose the leather color is assigning a "personality" to each of them. For example, in my opinion the above leather colors represent the following:
Black = Practical
Red = Sporty
Walnut = Classic
Beige = Elegant
The colors might mean different things to you (above is only my opinion), and once you have your list it is only a matter of choosing what you want your car to reflect the most.
