Brown E89 3.5i DCT now purchased

Post by Johnbmwz4 » Sun Sep 04, 2016 1:40 pm

Hi , went to Surry yesterday to view/ pick up the Z4. As soon as I drove it I knew it was mine. Took 5 hours in torrential rain to get home (2 hours on M25 doing nothing) and no problems at all. Haven't had time really to compare performance with my 3.0 E85 but is seriously quick. Seems heavy compared to the E85 too but seems more safe and planted. Interior is to die for but still has the odd rattle and squeak over our terrible roads and I would say wind noise isn't much better (I don't think) with the metal roof. Was dong 31 mpg on the motorway so very similar to the E85. It has many extras TV, DAB, adaptive head lights heated steering wheel to mention a few and the seats have little suede bits where your shoulders are which I haven't seen before on any other Z4s. Any way needs a good clean inside and out and I will post some pics when done and let you know how it compares to the E85 which I will be selling in the next couple of weeks

Nice choice OP. The colour is Havanna Brown and the interior is called the Pure White design package if you have suede on the seats and door panels. You also benefit from Nappa leather over the cheaper Kansas textured leather, among other bits.

They're a far from perfect car but it's cars like this that get under your skin.

Yeah I know what you mean, my E85 has/ still is. The leather is really soft and supple and also is all over the dash board too which is a nice touch. Can't wait to wash it and I won't find every blemish until I do but it's about to rain in Leeds very soon so gunna have leave it till another time, gutted...

Just be mindful that the suede/alcantara by your shoulders gets dirty from the black seatbelts

:x It certainly does, I clean it and it comes back! I have exactly the same interior trim as you (extended leather) but mine is 3.0i and Deep sea blue exterior. Enjoy your car! :driving:

Had the chance to clean it today, no major marks apart from a few stone chips on the bonnet which I can live with for now. Couple of pics attached
