Need help...on the Hunt

Post by henryjames » Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:10 pm

Hi all,

So I've decided on the newer engine 20 or a 28, budget 15k
And I'll be after a fair few toys, heated seats, nav, Bluetooth and ideally the upgraded 11 speaker set-up,
Ideally an M too
Anything else is a bonus

Now I'm not being presumptive but I know you guys are pretty hot at hunting out the gems,
I'm just throwing this out there, but if you guys stumble on anything that fits the bill could you chuck it up here?

And yes yes i know I know, I should be looking at the 30 or 35....
Well if you find one of those with the spec well let's just say that I imagine you guys could twist my arm....

I assume you checked the BMW Approved used cars? There are a couple which might be of interest and tick's a lot of your requirements. Here's one http://usedcars.coopersunderlandbmw.co. ... c=se_ce_re_

Ooh, good shout... I knew I'd be getting 30i recommendations!
Is it just me or are those rims an odd colour?

Go test drive an ///M. Then get your cheque book out. It has a top notch music player. Operated by your right foot. :D

Without meaning to upset the four pot owners I'd try to go for a six pot as it's in your budget and sounds awesome when you plant your right foot :D

Indeed. I was looking for similar options and have ended up with a 35i. I have the iDrive, heated seats, PDC, etc., plus a few more like electric seats I hadn't bargained for. To say I'm happy is an understatement. :D

Hi, don't discount the 18i as it's the same engine as the others-a remap gives it the same or more than the 20/28i
They sound better than a normally aspirated 4 pot as well so don't worry about the noise
If it's important to you they also have cheaper road tax than the 6 pots & good economy

But it's not a 1.8
It's a 2litre, the same as all the other 4pot turbo cars! The 28i isn't a 2.8 either

That's got the 296 wheels which seem guaranteed to crack :(
It's also not got M-sport goodies like bumpers, steering wheel, gear shift :|
