I ordered a Carly adapter from Amazon yesterday morning and it arrived this morning! Bought the Pro app and this evening I have coded in the alarm arm/disarm beep, folding wing mirrors on lock (Inc comfort lock), plus a few other little bits. Chuffed with it!!! My car now does all the little things I considered to be "missing" from the spec when I bought it :)

Is anyone able to clarify the benefits of NCS Expert over Carly Pro? Also, will it be difficult to install on Windows 7 over XP?

What I know is that NCS is cheaper (Carly pro = £60 for dongle & £35 for software) and the coding available is more extensive.

I want to determine whether the benefits and self-teaching required for NCS Expert are worthwhile for me. In other words, what might be commonly coded on NCS which is not available through Carly.

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the Carly will allow you to code just the sidelights as DRLs

Ok, this sounds counterintuitive, but I got mine to work by enabling sidelights as DRLs, then deactivating 'Daytime Running Lights 1/2' and 'Daytime Running Lights 2/2'
Now my DRLs turn on with the ignition, and off with headlights (dipped or high beam). Perfect.
Now, let's get out of here before the E89 boys catch us and force us to swear allegiance to the tin-top club... :P
