Not an easy job apparently, its very very tight, think it was something like 4 hour labour.

Quietens down pretty quicky to a good rumble so its not annoying to live with, just there when you want it :driving:

Video doesn't seem to be working for me :( .

How do you find the Eibach springs you fitted, does it ride better? I find the Z4 to be a crashy and easily unsettled by bumpy/uneven roads.
Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better

Could just be placebo, but I think better. It's firm and doesn't wobble about so much after a bump. Feels more planted on the road imo.

This is why I SO want an E89 35is...

400bhp is the stuff of my dreams!

However, as I can't have an e89 due to poor boot space with roof lowered, I'll have to make do with the soon to be mine E70 40d, which with a remap should make 390bhp and 800ftlb of torque :driving:

From a diesel ffs!

Will it pass and should it pass are two different issues, the MOT manual clearly says it's a fail if a cat is removed that was fitted as standard, but as someone said, how will they see with undertrays fitted?
If it fails the emissions test then you do have a problem.

Will be interesting to see what you think about that...

The diesels can do great BHP and torque, although its for a limited period of time.. Basically its all turbo puff getting the numbers.Loads of stuff is easily doing 400 bhp now, even the hot hatch 2 litres are 360 bhp..

My R35 is currently at 720bhp ish, last car was 510 bhp and Jag was 465bhp and 35is was 400 ish....

You get used to it...

I have an E89 35i with aftermarket backboxes. They sound better than stock and the tail pipes look good too but I'd like to go with the downpipe upgrade too. Where can I get them and how much for fitting? I am in West Sussex but am happy to travel.

I'm just waiting for my new turbos to turn up then I'll shove these bits on, not sure what hp figure I'll achieve but would be happy with north of 450 on a conservative map.
