I would stick with a lighter colour, it adds contrast to the body colour. Black bodywork and silver wheels is one of the best colour combos in my opinion.

It's your car - it's your preference: I know my car is not everyone favourite - but it's mine.
However don't have gloss inner wheels - I do however they difficult to keep clean if it's an daily.
Also invest in some alloy gators as black rims are not forgiving with any kind of contact.

Considered shadow chrome? I think they would compliment a black car nicely

Still trying to decide, after a good chat with Mr Wilks this morning. Here's mine with black one's fitted.
It's a case of refurb these "bad boys" or get a set of Riva DTM Silver "very classy" on a black Zed.
I'm really struggling to make my mind up, just something about the black one's.

Some interesting opinions. Got to say. I pretty much agree that they may get lost on a black car. Up close I think it will look great. At a distance though.
Also, I did have black alloys on my previous car and while I am super careful on my car they did mark very easily......and it shows!
Gun metal......never thought about that as an option.

Over the last few months I had been toying with the idea of black wheels on the X6 but there is just something that I really like about nice clean silver wheels on a black car that I don't think you can get with any other colour.
I finally had them refurbed a couple of weeks ago and went for silver again.
I think black wheels only suit a few colours, silver and white being a couple of them

Black on black can look good if you are after the stealth vibe. However, your alloys are the best for the E89 IMO and the silver keys in with the grill and side repeaters / badges / wing mirror and the headlights - I'd stick with the current look.

I'm a fan of contrasting wheels to body colour so it's a no from me

Only a personal opinion of course but I always think black wheels make the car look like an old Cortina where someone's nicked the hubcaps! ... Each to their own though ...

Diamond cut gunmetal or shadow chrome is the way I'm going on my 313 refurb to give it a little more stealth without going full on batman.
