Side roundel removal
Can anyone advise how to remove the side roundel on an E89, I found a post that said you had to remove the wheel liner and undo some nuts but according to realoem it's held on with a couple of grommets and I assume some double sided tape so in essence can anyone who has actually done it advise please ?

I watch with interest too. I need to do this.
I assumed the same as you and was planning to hook it with a trim tool and pull away.

Why is it that people who can't take advice always insist on giving it?

Well I saw a vid where someone got a badge off another BMW by using a credit card to prise it off with a cloth behind it to protect the paint

I have had one of the roundels and the bonnet badge replaced a few years ago under warranty as they had gone the same way as this one ie the black enamel at the edges is all chipped and looks a mess, and I remember the BMW tech saying the bonnet one had nuts on which is strange as Realoem and Stratstone spares say they are all the same 70mm badge so I wonder if theses nuts are self tapping onto the plastic stem in the bonnet badge

bonnet is self tapping, I changed mine a few weeks ago, please ignore the videos saying to just use a trim removal tool you will more than likely screw your bonnet and lose the 'bolts' down to the undertray (like I did)
I expect the side badges are the same, but I have no idea how to access the bolt(s)
