19" wheels with Yokohama AD08 tyres -good or not?

Post by keving1 » Wed Apr 26, 2017 9:38 pm

I have the possibility of buying a 35i DCT with 19" wheels fitted with new Yokohama AD08 tyres. Any ideas how these will ride and handle? Will it be like the the original Run-Flats because of the very stiff side walls of the AD08's and in time would I want to change them?

I imagine it will drive really well in the summer weather. Not great in standing water or winter though.

They maybe quite firm but only time will tell I guess, they should grip well and help get all of the power down from the 3 litre twin turbo lump  :driving:

I am planning on fitting these to my M3 at some point so I welcome your thoughts

I'd also like to know how these feel compared to run-flats.

The E89 that I have just bought has run-flats on but want to change them. Had Goodyear F1's on my E85 but like the look of these Yokohama' AD08's, only thing stopping me from buying them is will they be as poor a ride as the run-flats are?
