Run Flat Tyres

Post by AndyO » Fri May 12, 2017 12:43 pm

I am getting my first ever Z4 on Sunday, a 2011 2.5 sdrive23i M Sport. The current owner doesn't know if the car has run flat tyres or not. Is there a way of telling? If they are run flats, I have read here that they do not give as good a ride as regular tyres so I am thinking of changing. Does the tyre pressure warning system still work with regular tyres and will I need to get a spare?

Thanks

Run Flat Tyres

it should state on the tyre wall if they are runflats usually denoted as RFT (brand dependent). Additionally the harsh ride will tell you instantly ha

Have you got any pictures of the car? :D

The tyre pressure warning system should still work with non run flats and you won't have space for a spare unless you want to fill your boot! You're better off getting a decent repair kit.

Ride will DEFINITELY improve!! :driving:

Thanks both. I'll get some pics on Sunday. Where is the place to upload them?
