"Unleaded fuel qualities with 91 RON and higher are permitted."

And as it doesn't give a maximum figure 99 Ron is fine then.

My 20i made good power on the Dyno which the operator attributed to super unleaded fuel, if it cleans the internals of your engine and enables it to make more power then why wouldn't you use it?
It even gives you a smidgeon more economy! :)

Shell V power nitro + rated at 99 ron has up to 5% ethanol mix, the cap suggests and the handbook says you can fill up with fuels with no more than 10% ethanol mix, therefore 99 ron would seem perfectly ok to use, I'd say that was backed up by BMW not, to my knowledge anyway, putting out a statement stating not to use 99 ron nitro for example, especially as they have a connection with Shell. I would suggest the cap sticker is from the E89 first sales in 2009 and hasn't been updated since. Shell nitro + was introduced in 2015.

99 RON fuel will do no harm. It may be a waste of money though if the ECU fuelling/ignition map can't take advantage of it. The 10% ethanol is important though - a lot of seals don't like ethanol and can degrade rapidly when exposed to high levels of it.
Considering Ordered Received 35is - Melbourne Red / Ivory White with lots of bells & whistles. Deep Sea Blue replacement 35is now also departed. Replaced by something more brash, more powerful and American!
