Where can I buy cheap adaptive shock absorbers?

Post by keving1 » Thu Jun 22, 2017 8:06 pm

I have seen a 35i which I am interested in buying. However, on its last MOT it had an advisory for slight misting on front shock absorbers which means they are going to need replacing soon. They are the electronic adaptive shock absorbers, I know these are expensive (especially from BMW) but is there anywhere in the UK or Europe where I could buy them for under £400 each?

I had one go on my car. Not a single place in the UK stocks them not even dealerships. They are on a 2 week lead time from Germany.

And if you could - Buy cheap normally means buy twice!

So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.

LOL -these have gone after 44k miles and BMW have quoted £700 each :o So cheaper units can't be any worse for longevity!

There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey. John Ruskin

The originals might be poor but cheap replacements even worse!
