Also are the Recechip boxes any good or would a proper remap be better

Surely there is somewhere around Manchester that could help you. I took my 35i into Rebellion (West Sussex), they told me chips can be very good but you cant beat a rolling road set up and a proper remap. I'm presently getting 384.2BHP and 450lb ft of torque. Id recommend them to you but its a bit of a drive, there must be is somewhere more local.

I'm from Manchester and I always use companies further afield for a custom remap, particularly if you have any engine mods. In and around Manchester you'll only really find companies that do generic remaps, the likes of APR, REVO etc.
I've used P Torque near Wolverhampton more than a few times and rate them for custom stuff, especially modded cars.

Of course that means travelling, but sometimes its just worth it!

OK, well good luck Mack, I'm looking forward to seeing the reults. I put a thread on showing some pics of my car that Rebellion remaped.

Best place in the north west for a remap

Hi mate, I’m from Chorley and was looking for same thing a few months ago. Went to a place called ADE Tuning in Blackburn. Went on the dyno before and after with printouts.

I’ve got a 20i, went from 184 to 266bhp. Difference is unbelievable.

Fully custom remap as well.

Paid £450

That was for a 20i, you might find your model is more expensive?
