The thing is I leave a good distance between myself and the car in front on the motorway, but you always get some Knob cutting in!

Wow guys thanks for all the response. I don't tailgate on any type of road and the consensus I get is that its a mix of the paint BMW use and the style of the Z4 being low down. At least that makes me a lot happier than I was and although I like the idea of them being battle scars showing use of the car its driving me nuts so the car is going into the body shop. I am lucky enough to have a good contact who refurbishes collectors cars and having seen his one of his own cars (picture) he resurrected from a rusty shell I trust him. Sorry its not going to a BMW dealer but I dont trust them?

Yes they do but buy them but in UK at least they are so rare now, cannot remember the last time I saw one.

We had guys in bentleys, lambos, AC cobras the lot....
