Good bodyshop in the KT12 area?
Hi all,
Thinking about respray on my front bumper and bonnet on my deep sea blue z4 since it has a lots of chips, scuff and scratches on bumper and bonnet anyway and smart repair is likely costly anyhow ...
Anyone know ballpark cost and any good sprayers near KT12 ?
Many thanks!

That seems a tad excessive to be honest.
I can vouch for these people, they are based in Brooklands / Byfleet and I have used them a few times before (Front wing, Front Bumper and the wing mirror on my missus car)
All come out very good indeed.

Take a trip over there, Jamie is the boss over there and will probably do you a deal if you speak with him.

I think that is a bit excessive,My previous E85 had a bumper replaced - NEW - and painted at BMW in Ascot , The total including a replacement car was around 1200

I've had a second quote come in at £1200 plus VAT ...that's stripping the bonnet down, sanding the bumper and blending ...I think the £900 inc VAT one is just painting bonnet and bumper ... think I'm going to get a scrap panel and a DA polisher and practice for a few months to DIY

Ahh ok, I should've said to mention me as I used to do a lot of business with him and he normally does a deal with me / friends.
How bad is your bonnet / bumper as for stone chips I can say it's not really worth doing, especially if you use the car daily.. I had my bumper resprayed and within about 6 months it looked crap again. The only reason I had mine done was because I had lacquer peeling and wanted that addressed more than anything.
If you're local to Walton then I could take a look if you like as I am into Detailing and most things are fixable to a degree?

Hi coupedan,
Ah my bad only mentioned a member from the forum rather than your name.
To be honest it's not too bad, when sunlight bounces off the bonnet you can see a few scratches at clear coat level and the wet sanding marks with stonechips. Very light swirling and in less lighting it looks perfect.
Stone chips do stand out, and the bumper has a covered up scuff that needs redoing ... I'm debating whether to get a DA and learn it myself but I think this stonechip repair and correction is not easy to get right, I have bought some maguires compound / 50 cal filler gaze now and some polishing pads to maybe dabble in a small area and have a go at that, stone chips well not so confident with wet sanding ..
Yes I live in Walton, welcome some advice if you have time and not too out of your way ?
Cheers
Wil
