I have the comfort module installed.
I have coded the car via carly to open the windows and doors via the remote.
However I cannot code the car to close the roof via the remote!
Am I missing something??

Mate, unless I'm mistaken, they are all hard wired to lower the roof from the remote so Carly didn't gain anything there!
However they are not hard wired to put the roof back up.

After my Smart Top caused all sorts of electronic problems I had an Indy do a deep dive into the BMW software to find the lines for re-programmable "remote roof closing". Said it wasn't there.
Something to do with liability and finger trapping safeguards, but I'll stand corrected on the last bit.

That's a stupid "safety" feature IMObob4333 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:46 am After my Smart Top caused all sorts of electronic problems I had an Indy do a deep dive into the BMW software to find the lines for re-programmable "remote roof closing". Said it wasn't there.

Bloody closes when you inside the car or stood next to it with the key in the lock so fingers nice and close to the mech, but wont let us do it from 5ft away

Yes it seems a bit odd, after all you have a trap/pinch hazard regardless of if its raising or lowering!

My previous E89 (Dec 2010) the key close system used to work - then the security patch was applied and the facility stopped!
Bought a Smarttop module and it all works as it should.
You don't stop playing when you get old - You get old when you stop playing!
So I bought a 35is with all the toys to play with.
