I'm running about -1.0 and it sharpened up the front end by a massive amount, toe is 0.07 per side, total of 0.14. At the rear I'm on camber -2.0 with a toe of 0.1 per side, total 0.2 which I'll possibly reduce to 0.1 per side once I fit the new rubber.

Yours is still out of spec, but the wrong spec. Mine has M sport suspension btw.

Thanks Mike,
I better check where that camber pin is on mine so I go there prepared. The Pro Tyres in Enfield didn't mention anything about camber pins and adding weights. Is this valid for the E89 as well as all the info I found online is referring to E85

Sorry, didn't realise yours is an E89, however out of spec is still out!

Mine was weighed with I seem to remember 60kg on each seat and the same in the boot with a full tank of fuel.

The weight makes very little difference I have found.

Some people use it and some don't.

Thanks mate, from various sources online I see that the change in car geometry with extra 150-200kg should be minimal as this is what the car is expected to carry any way (2 people + luggage + full tank) but again this still is extra weight that you put on the suspension and in theory it should have effect on the geometry as well.

Why didn't you take the camber pins out? Seems silly not too considering how easy it is to do

Rest if the adjustments seems ok and you did the right thing regarding the rear camber

Bet it's driving better

Right, I found the camber pins.
Do I take them out before I go to the garage for alignment and leave them out after its done or do I have to put them back in.

Take them out now, saves them trying to say they wont do it.

They are simple to remove

I'd say MC autos in south London. I've had my Z4 there and they got both sides spot on. I'm sure they'll be happy to match what ever setup you give them. Or pull one from the database. Not BMW specialist per say but deal with some highly modded cars and had no issues installing my supplied parts etc

Ok, do I have to put the pins back in after they've aligned the camber?

Buckz, thanks mate I'll give them a call as well to check what they can do for me.

So at the moment I've got a few questions to ask the garages you suggested before I decide which one to try first (do they know about the camber pins, adding weight and custom alignment for better handling).

Looks like the last two I used are not the most knowledgable around (ProTyre in Enfield and A&S Tyres in South Woodford)

no, you don't need to put the pin back in. You'll see if you remove one of the 3 nuts holding the shocks in that the holes are slotted - the adjustment on front camber comes from sliding the top mount of the shock either inboard or outboard (most likely inboard for more negative camber). if the garage adjusts it at all, the pin wouldn't go back in anyways as it would be out of alignment.
