Are companies like Autotech worth considering?
They're claiming to make 360BHP & 520Nm from my 35i for £200.
Use MHD Flasher instead, there stage 1+ map puts you just under 400 bhp and around 600nm of torque iirc. Heavily customisable too and is only around £200. You can do it off an android device
Isn't that a DIY option? Not sure I have the knowledge or confidence to do it myself. Don't have an android device anyway - employer supplies iPhone.

They have several OTS maps you can use which is what I have done. You can learn it all pretty quick and members here will be happy to assist. Pick up a cheap android device off the web.

Hi guys,

So at the end of all of this if you live in the North West where would you go to get your 2012 2.0L Z4 remapped and how much should it cost within reason.

£500!!!! about twice what you should be paying.

I use RH Tuning in Plymouth, long way from Yorkshire, I know as I am from Hull. But it would give you a great drive back to test it out.
Give them a ring, Ryan is the guy and they have a website here https://www.rhtuning.co.uk/
Their tuning location is like a hospital, mapping takes around 4 - 4.5 hours and is custom to your car.

I have a 2009 23i, my remap cost would have been £250 but I got an offer deal at £200. The difference in the car is simply amazing, go for it........
Hi, I doubt you will get a remap for the 20i for £200? Part of the reason is the gains possible-with your 23i I'm guessing you would see 10/20bhp extra with the map, the 20i can gain around 100bhp extra & that's why the maps cost much more. Its all about the gains & its cheap horsepower at the price they charge
Rob
I think you will find that as no parts are required then the cost of a remap is primarily labour based. As it takes no longer to remap one Z4 model or another then the price of £500 is vastly inflated. I had my last C63 remapped and they only charged £299 for that, it also took 4 hours which kind of proves the point I think. Big bucks does not always = better result (within reason of course).
Thread hijack, how did you find the C63 compared to your Z, bet it was a beast? Why did you get rid of it?

I always lease new hi spec cars. If you do your research it is nearly always cheaper than buying when you consider depreciation.
As for the manners of the C63, it has none. It's a marvellous no bullshit muscle car with an exhaust note to suit. If you can afford it get one, it's a real tick in the box for life experiences. To sum up BRILLIANT.
