I have purchased an electronic manual with the Z4 wiring diagrams. Hopefully that will allow me to work out what's what and how.
It is different on the ///M. I have some information but not had chance to do yet. Also it does need programming on the ///M apparently, enabling factory option cruise control.

I checked prices at BMW last week. The equivalent original BMW parts cost 140, so the ebay offering is interesting but not a mega bargain.

I just bought a 2003 3.0 Roadster Auto and wondering if I can fit cruise control to my car. No rush really but planning on touring Europe next year and cruise would make it so much easier.

Assuming the auto is the same as the manual it should be pre-wired for cruise, so all you need is the stalk and its a plug-and-play.

Just been qouted £300 for the complete cruise control kit delivered or £465 installed at my house? Are they competitive prices? Any feedback appreciated.

Sopers BMW Lincoln sell the whole kit for £128 (that price included a 10% Forum discount).
I found an Indy BWM specialist who fitted mine for £120 so £250 all in including VAT.

Getting numerous qoutes from around the UK for the full cruise control kit including wiring loom from £124 for the full kit delivered to as much as £300. The first price is from a breakers yard the later brand new or £465 new installed at my home. How easy is the kit to install. I am a complete novice at car diy, having said that fitted the smart top module and wiring loom with clear instructions but I get a feeling this could be more technical.
