Had a play yesterday and set Seat Memory to Remote.

Now on pressing 'Open' on Remote 1 the seat goes to position 1 and position 2 with with Remote 2.

Cool - especially when you have a vertically challenged wife who never puts the seat back in the RIGHT position!

Thanks Colin, I know you can code the key fob to open/close the hood, just wondered if this software did it but as it's not on your list I presume it doesn't.

Which program did you use to do the changes?

Stuck on configuring DIS, no free interface for some reason or other. Tried on two PC's so I'm doing something wrong.

SSS does the programming - don't worry its the next step after DIS.

I haven't got my laptop to hand but from memory for DIS you need to run, and then start, diaghead then run IFHServ32 otherwise you won't see a free head.

If you're only interested in the programming you could go straight to SSS.

I thought you Roadster guys needed one of these to do that http://www.gap-tech.co.uk/. But, heh I might be wrong.

I'll look into the IFHServ32 bit, I know it's running as it's in the bar at the bottom.

I'll look at the SSS then.

Thanks

Yes it does work but costs £130 and needs hard wiring, if you can program the key fob it's cheaper and you don't have to break into the wiring loom.

Reinhold/GapTech modules have two advantages over programming.

1. One touch facility whilst in the car.
2. You don't need to keep you thumb on the remote button, just press three times. It's more difficult than you think to keep that button pressed for the complete cycle of opening or closing the roof.

When you give the stalk one touch up/down it will blink for 3 times. Whenever I drove the VW we have at work, which is fitted with this feature, and return to my car I need to remember to hold the stalk while pulling out for i.e. overtaking.
