Re: Retrofit cupholders
Oooh, you've got a bit of nasty scratching by your rubber grommet!
I just bought spare grommets at the same time and then removed the original with a pair of tweezers.

Yeah Although you really can't see it when they're back in place (trusty macro lens bought it up nicely though). Tweezers are a great idea in hindsight!!

Re: Retrofit cupholders
Having just fitted mine this morning, I wish I'd read this better first and ordered the rubber grommets at the same time as the cupholders. They were hard to get off without damaging them so will be ordering some replacements soon. I used jamesdeans guide and it was very helpful - thanks!

Nice little write up there James, it's on my list of things to do
Mods so far : 3" stubby ariel, chrome exhaust tips, de-badging, clear side indicators, CDV delete, cruise, clear 3rd brake light, cup-holders, Z4M alloys. Sadly now gone!

Re: Retrofit cupholders
Why would anyone want to install these useless cupholders. All North American Z4s are equipped with cupholders. Maybe we should organize a cupholder exchange program between the Colonies and GB. You send us your blanking plates and we'll send you our useless cupholders

How about we send you European-sized beverage receptacles to replace the gallon buckets you seem to use for coffeejmillet wrote:Why would anyone want to install these useless cupholders.
