What a great forum. Bought drivers side only cup holder from Joe in Lincoln for a great price and service recommended by the forum and fitted easily with the excellent instructions ( and if I can fit them anyone can fit them).
Z4MC. Interlagos blue. Black nappa. ITG filter. Eibach springs. 19's M3 alloys.

Just finished fitting a drivers side holder. Very easy thanks to this thread. Got his strange feeling now to buy a can of Coke........

Digging up an old thread here, but just got back from the dealers and found my part doesn't have a front plate (the bit you push to open it) and the blanking plate isn't the right size.
I guess I've been sold the replacement part rather than the retrofit - or is it just a duff part that's missing a bit??
Despite me asking them twice to make sure it was suitable :headbang:

Youve just been sold the replacement rather than the retrofit.

The plate just slides on and is different to the blanking plate.

Now the bad news. IIRC someone on here said that BMW couldnt supply the face plates anymore as the supplier to BMW who made them has gone bust.

Oh Cock !

Might have to phone the marvellous Joe at Sopers to find out for sure - local bunch are clearly less than well informed.

Thanks for speedy reply.

Anyone want a front plate in exchange for a blanking plate? (No harm in asking!)

Retrofit Cupholders (half finished!)

I have a spare driver side retrofit. Can't imagine I'd need the blanking plate so you are welcome to it if you pay the postage.

Just got it from the shed and Greeno is correct, the front plate just slides off. So one going a begging if you are interested.

FYI the part without the front plate is b51.45.7.070.324, supplied with a screw b65.75.8.235.255, cost of £24.11 inc VAT. Fitted in about 5 mins - looks a bit broken without the front plate - but hopefully that'll be sorted quickly. Now sorted - Thanks Sean

Cost of front plate yet to be agreed - but priceless! :ilz4f: must be payback for all my previous good deeds :D
