Update. Just sealed up the edges of the diffuser to make it look smoother. Although it was a good fit, there was a small gap on the corners, and being fussy, that just wouldn't do! :P

Looks really good

Strange - that's the one job I still have to do on mine and I keepo thinking about what I'm going to do with it. Even worse in that mine does not have the crease line to follow and a different lower 'lip' profile, so even morereason to fill it.

So what did you seal it with? My first thought is to use an automotive black silicone.

How do you keep the exhaust pipes that shiny? I use Autosol Metal Polish, but still can't get the black deposit off.

I think automotive sealant would be fine.

I used black SikaFlex I got from work. It's what the company I work for uses to bond panels on trucks together with (I used to be a vehicle body builder!).

Info here: http://www.sikaindustry.com/tds-ipd-sf221-ind-us.pdf

Put it this way, it will be a bugger to get off now! I could have used it to fit the diffuser without bolting!!

Mind you, I only sealed the ends though.

Not the double-decker rear diffuser used by Brawn GP, Williams and Toyota. But Breaker's car can still go faster than Coupe without diffuser. :)

Fitting the OEM Carbon rear diffuser ('07 coupe)

Post by Bad_Pritt » Mon May 14, 2018 5:13 pm

Looks like this diffuser is available again, made by another company, but seems to be exactly as the original. Very tempted by this mod...! Already bought the carbon trunkspoiler, so would be a great match...
