Go with the Sony if you're going "Phablet" route. The Huawei I found to be a tad slow and more limited when it comes to Android updates.

Hi there I am in the last part of the project I got the arduino board....
Unfortunately I can't see any pictures of the wiringredients steps in the forum. And is the first time I try to use this board. So I would appreciate some help with the wiring.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Hi!
Please see my post from Tue May 19, 2015 2:54 am on page #3.
Contains everything you need. You can even see wire colors on photos and pinning on wiring diagram diagram.

Kind regards,
J.

Sony Xperia ZU AutoBoot on Power

Idea is to turn off phone if not on power and not used for a long time (for example 4hours). Autoboot after ignition is turned on (charger connected).
Turn off functionality can be achieved by Tasker app Timer and Secure Settings Reboot functionality. But powering automatically on requires additional effort.

After spending some time on this task sharing results.
Problem: after connecting power to phone chargemon starts (animation with battery) and is not allowing to complete booting. Booting continues after pressing and holding power button
Expectation Boot completely after charger is connected (ignition is turned on).

I have dualrecovery installed on my phone. I am running ZU-lockeddualrecovery2.8.26-RELEASE.combined. Readmore here.

How to enable autoboot? (do only if you understand fully, this is on your own responsibility)
1. Do backup of /system/bin/dualrecovery.sh (for example copy to SDCard1 - this is external SDCard of phone and rename to dualrecovery.sh.backup). I use SSH Droid app to connect using WinSCP to phone.
2. Copy dualrecovery.sh to computer and edit (in WinSCP or Unix Editor) to comment out by adding # in front of line 483 (# exec /system/bin/chargemon.stock)

Code: Select all

	# Return path variable to default
	export PATH="${_PATH}"

	# Continue booting
	# Disabled for AutoBoot
	# exec /system/bin/chargemon.stock

fi
3. Save changes and copy file back to SDCard1 (this is external SD Card of phone)
4. Boot in TWRP
5. Mount System: Mount, click System to enable checkbox
6. Open Advanced --> File Manager and copy modified dualrecovery.sh file from SDCard1 to /system/bin/
7. Go to /system/bin/ and apply chmod 755 to dualrecovery.sh (hold long on filename + select CHMOD 755)
8. Unmount System: Mount, click System to remove checkbox
9. Exit TWRP --> Reboot, Power Off
10. Test. Connect charger, phone will boot fully

In case of issues (phone is not booting etc.) enter TWRP. Rename and copy original file back in the same way.

Already had NAV so didn't need arduino
:D hi everybody, I read this forum for weeks now...

I want to make the same mod on my Z4 e86. How did you supply the tablet?
Is there a specific cable to buy?
Or a mod to make on the cable from the previous screen?

 for your information, for phablet conversion, I will use a Xiaomi mi max2. It offers more ram and a 7.0 android version. XIAOMI is a reliable supplier. Personally, I do prefer Sony but price on second hand market is too high for its specifications.
