Hi
Think I've jinxed this car!
I posted on here a month or so ago saying my cars on 103k and had no problems with the water pump. I still don't in that it hasn't over heated etc and I keep a close eye on it.
I've just plugged Carly in and it's given me fault code 002E81 which appears to be water pump related. Is this likely to be the pump itself or could it be something else less sinister?

At the mileage your cars covered I'd be looking at the pump, have you noticed the radiator fan making itself known straight after a cold start? Mine did this, pulsing high & low & diagnostics showed "implausible pump speed" despite no dash lights being lit. My car never overheated either.
That was the warning I had that the electronic pump was dying

Nope I've not heard or observed anything out of the ordinary. Just wondering if this was, as I suspect, only gonna be the water pump, or if there was something else common apart from the pump itself, preferably a 10p sensor lol
Ok so assuming it is the pump, where is the cheapest place to buy it from? Which makes should I go for?

I haven’t used the car since the fault code and have reverted to using my 118d instead. I miss the zed but the weather hasn’t exactly been zed friendly! I’ll be getting the pump sorted before I use it again as I’m not risking over heating
