Gearbox oil
I'm wanting to replace the gearbox oil on my manual box. Can anyone recommend the correct oil to use and how much it takes. Cheers Jay

I used Millers 75w80 in mine, same viscosity as factory fill and a brand I trust to make very high quality oils.

If it meets the spec you can't go wrong. But there is the argument that the BMW fill favours economy over protection, so don't be afraid to go to other reputable brands with similar viscosities.
Either way, changing it is better than leaving it in. Mine wasn't nice but didn't appear to have much in the way of metallic particles in, though I didn't have it analysed.
