Dreaded ABS pump/ module issues
Hi all,
In a real nasty situation with the ABS pump/ module. Mine has died and seems it cannot be repaired. I'm in dire need of a replacement part since BMW want a lofty £2500.
My part is seen in the images below.
Would anybody know if I have to use the same numbers or could I get a different part number and get its software refreshed? Also, does anybody know where I could get one from? The confusing part of this matter is down to the part numbers... I believe the 'overall' part number for both the pump and module combined is: 34516778490. However as you can see on the pictures it has other part numbers on the module (10.0961-0829.3/ 10.0614-3758.3) and the pump (3451-6778238-01). Thus funding a right one seems near impossible.
Huge thanks in advance for any help that can be given.
I'm sure this thread will become useful as it seems finding an ABS pump/ module for 2006-2009 cars is pretty much impossible. All our cars are getting to the age where they will need replacing soon, so any help will hopefully benefit everybody.

Have you tried both ecutesting and bba-reman? I don't know of many they haven't been able to fix.

Thank you for the reply!
Are they the same person? And are you referring to this: http://www.ecutesting.com/catalogue/pro ... 16203.html ?

Okay thank you! It'll be going off to ECU testing next week. Have you had experience?

It's not usually both pump and ECU module that are faulty. ECU testing should be able to determine which it is. If it's the pump, most likely stuck brushes, easy fix. If it's the module, should hopefully also be repairable, but more expensive. Unlikely you'll need to go anywhere near the 2,500 new replacement path, but it's scary times while you await their diagnosis.
Good luck
Good luck

Are you referring to the pump or the module? Apologies, this whole thing is terribly confusing to me!Ducklakeview wrote: ↑Fri Oct 06, 2017 11:53 pm BTW.. For future reference, I've now repaired three of these for people..

Pumps in all cases. They seize due to lack of use as the traction on the car is so good.E86montego wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2017 12:05 amAre you referring to the pump or the module?
