hi,not posted for a quite a while i have an 03 e85 3.0l
just failed mot on exhaust .been patched up last few times for mot but its finaly shot,
been told by garage(A WELL KNOWN CHAIN) its £1000 and he advised me to get one cheaper elsewhere and he,d fit it for me ,i need from cat back ,im in devon so if anyone knows a decent place let me know, also need to know if a e85 2.5l would fit as i can get on of those cheap at the min

Stick your vin number into http://www.realoem.com/

Find the part and it will tell you what other models it was also fitted to. Slim chance but it might be the same part number.

That looks like a great deal, but as it is off an E86 it's a facelift - I don't think that will work on a pre-facelift?

Hopefully someone can confirm whether it will!

The cat back section will fit, but you'll need the facelift mounts as the are "longer" due to the facelift box brackets being different.

How has the old one failed? They are stainless, so don't corrode...

They are different and unique to the pre and post facelift Zeds, but as above, the one linked to by Fred will fit with the later mounts.

mot cert says
exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases rear[7.1.2]
exhaust emissions lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits [7.3.d.3]
im not that clued up on exhausts etc so i dont know the exact problem

im having a custom made one fitted 700 quid but its on interest free finance so not such a kick in the nuts :D

When I had my exhaust fixed for the well known joint issue the exhaust shop told me they are not stainless exhausts but a composite metal which doest rust like steel but will still rust over time
