Weird Auto climate / heater control problem...

Post by ph001 » Thu Nov 23, 2017 4:55 pm

So, gets in to start the car (roof up) this lunchtime, pressed my Auto button on the heating control, Auto button lights up for a second or two and then goes out again. No matter what I do the Auto light won't stay on?? Weird or what. Any ideas <youtube vid here>: https://youtu.be/MpIkYbtD_gQ

Weird Auto climate / heater control problem...

Update: I think the answer to this may be that the fan speed dial was 'in-between' settings. I just rotated the fan speed setting a few clicks backwards and forwards and it seems to be resolved for now anyway. Will keep you posted if it does it again!

More than likely, it happened to mine and I'm sure I read about someone else having the same problem.

I had this years ago, although mine was when starting the car it was also in manual mode. Put in auto and all fine until next time I started. Turned out to be the fan switch position half way between.
