My current 56 plate Z4C had new rear springs in July 2013 at 66,711 miles!
Lasted a lot longer than my previous one!
And will hopefully last a lot longer for me as a result!

Rear near side broken, just the tiny bit at the bottom. Mechanic mate of mine put it on a ramp and found it within 30 seconds. Said it looked as though it had been broken for a long while, at least before last MOT! Hey hoo, not a biggie to get fixed, will go back with OEM as don't want to be slamming just yet!

I had a broken Spring a month or so ago that was noticed when the rear discs where getting changed. This meant that I got my Eibachs which are meant to be hardier and are a definate cosmetic improvement.

Getting new tyres fitted and noticed near side rear spring snapped in bottom cup. 3.0i with the MSport suspension should I go with OEM springs or Eibach? I do not want any reduction whatsoever in ride height.

Does anyone have a part no for the rear springs on a pre-facelift E85 3.0i with M Sport suspension?
Realoem doesn't list it!

Replace with Suplex as it won't lower it and it's not the OEM ones prone to snapping.
The model number is Suplex 6231 as I posted above.
Call 01909 770660 and ask where your nearerst supplier is.
I got lucky and found Spartan Motor Factors in Bristol who sold them to me for £24 each.

I have just replaced my springs for Eibach's due to a broken rear spring. Whilst having them changed i noticed the pad at the top had started to perish, can anyone advise where to get a replacement?
Thanks
Will

Replaced both rear coils this evening. Only near side was broken but I never replace anything on suspension or steering without doing both sides. 3.0i with M-Sport suspension so pair of Suplex 06231 bought for £35 each. Did it on my own. Easiest job I've done on the Zed, easier than Intravee install, TV module swap and expansion tank replacement. Only odd thing was stickers on new Suplex springs saying top had arrow pointing to bottom. Springs can only go in one way with larger opening at the bottom so stickers wrong way round! Anyway piss easy job so previous posts of stealers and indys charging hundreds of pounds is disgraceful. This would take 15mins per side on a ramp in a garage.
