235/35/19 - I think I'll try some 225s and see if that helps.
Just re read the whole thread & penny dropped ! You are running a 235 on 8j rim :? when others are generally on 8.5j so that would stretch the 235 or 225
On a 8j front you can easily go to 215 35 & i'm pretty sure that will cure it
agreed 215 would be bang on with a little bit of stretch.
Nah , itl be fine :P no one will even notice :D

& don't worry Dan , that pic is not of a 215 35 on a 8j rim :D
Its very possible 225 35 will cure it but id be almost sure 215 would

Handy ET calculator here that allows you to compare your existing numbers with your intended wheels and tells you how much further out (or in) the new wheels will sit in comparison.

For reference, OEM 18 inch Z4 (E85/86) wheels are 8in wide et47 (front) and 8.5 inch wide et50 (rear). 224 M wheels are different widths and offsets (8 inch et27 and 9 inch et30?)

When I went to 19s I asked around, Jamie and Andy were both very helpful. 225 width tyres followed, can't remember the offset on mine but 235s were specifically mentioned as possible troublemakers. When I had it all fitted, the 225s looked very close but I've never had any rub. Lowered on Eibachs and M suspension - not sure if that makes any difference mind! You'll get it sorted

215's will look skinny i reckon..

You must have a weird offset to have an 8j that needs a 215 to stop problems.. ...

Where did you get the wheels from ?

Ive had 215s on 8js & they look ok , to cure the fault 225s could well be ok but if it still rubs then expensive to change again to 215s which i would say 99% will cure the rub . the car sits low on those Eibachs , ive seen it in the real & there's just about room for a rizzla

My solution to CSL arch rub....

Image

8J 18's ET34, so 13mm further out than standard OEM offset, 225 section tyres. No rubbing, slightly better ride quality and the car genuinely feels a bit lighter on it's toes.

This was mine with 8.5j and 235 tyre with 35mm drop.... No rubbing issues at all..

Im convinced the OP's front wheel must have some wacky offset...

Mine on Eibachs, 235's with 8.5J Et38. Rubbed equally on both sides over sharp dips and compressions in the road. Drove me mad and had me driving like Miss Daisy half the time...
