Seat back's knackered
So the drriver's side seat back won't stay put as i think the brackets are buggered somehow.
Been like that since buying it.
Theyre non sport seats.
The top brackets seem to locate the top of the seat back no problem but the two white brackets bonded to the lower part of the inside of the seatback don't seem to hold the the seatback in place and i'm guessing theres either something missing or broken.
Any ideas?
Don't to detach the passenger side one in case that one gets boll0cksed up too
Receiving hole drivers side seat Left bottom inner bracket which slots into seat receiving hole Right side

There are 2 plactic 'pins' that push in from the bottom.
Take the seat out, (remove the battery before unplugging the airbag) and you will be able to get access and see what i'm talking about. if the 2 pins are missing or damaged you can just use two self tappers and it will be like new

thanks mate. when you say '2 plastic pins' you mean different to the white ones in the pics above? theyre both near the bottom of the seat back on the inside.synthedup wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 11:29 am There are 2 plactic 'pins' that push in from the bottom.

They're like grommets that go through a hole on the base of the back plate and into a hole on the seat base.

Seat back's knackered
Update: fixed!
Following the definitive, awesome and spectacularly fantastic advice given by synthedup (over-acknowledgement there synth'?) .... the seatback is now well and truly back in position and holding nicely! yay
There was a little box of spare parts that came with the car and on inspection, there were the 2 white plastic pins that synthedup referred to. They're those nasty friction-fit pins - the sort where they degrade to the point of uselessness once theyve been moved/removed a few times so maybe that's why the previous owner didnt bother re-attaching the seat back. lazy barsteward!
Anyway, all good now, once again this was following advice from Sythedup, who I might add is a top bloke! lol
