Whilst trying to find a rattle, I noticed that the bottom of my rear view mirror is warm (just to the left of the clowns nose). As it happens my central locking died a few months back, so wondering if related.
Is there a sensor for the central locking in the mirror?
Should it be warm, (I assume not, and there is a fault)?

Constantly warm rear view mirror (dead central locking)
I had an intermittent issue using my key remote a while back where the car central locking wouldn't work. Fault was diagnosed by dealer as a faulty module in the rear view mirror which was replaced under warranty. There is also the GM5 unit which could also be faulty. Search the forum for GM5 and you should find plenty of info
