Problems
Well the dreaded Amber lights have returned but this time I have a diagnostics tool. Got a few issues me thinks that need sorting unless it's a dodgy connection somewhere??
As you can see the first pic are the original Amber lights that came on. They then vanished only to return today after a 150 mile drive out. Back to the dealer on Tuesday see what he has to say. Only had the car 4 weeks.- Attachments

Problems
Sorry to hear that OP.
From what I can make out, those two on together mean either DSC has been turned off using the button, or it is defective. My Mrs has that happen on her Mini and it needed a new ECU for the traction control system.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be along to confirm!

Might need to read the manual, something about 6 seconds on the DSC button to turn it all off completely!!!

Pressure sensor 1 & 2 are the two sensors on the brake master cylinder. I had this code for sensor 2, the rear one. Got a used one on eBay for a tenner, about 10 minutes later it was all ok. Takes two cycles (journeys) to clear.

Has the car been standing?
Can you read the pressures in these sensors with your reader?
If not, get a proper one hooked up and report back with the pressures please?
Where are you in the country?
Andy.

Both sensors look and are the same, rear lh corner of the engine bay with an electrical plug in the end of each.DaveZ4richardson wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2017 9:51 pm i am no mechanic so learning as I go along, are sensors 1 and 2 exactly the same??
You appear to have four codes showing though, the two pressure sensors and the other two I don't know. Evidently the pressure sensors are a well known thing to go wrong. New about £80 to £100 odd. Second hand £10 upwards. I took a punt and was lucky!

Bit of a way from me!DaveZ4richardson wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2017 10:17 pm Hi Andy am over in Cumbria, car stands Monday to Friday most weeks.
Get it plugged into a proper scan tool. Look at pressure sensor 1 reading and pressure sensor 2 reading. Both should be reasonably close psi reading. I bet one is reading way above zero when brake pedal is not pressed. Sometimes a light tap on them with a small hammer or similar restores operation. I have known them clear themselves when car is in regular use. If readings are way different or implausible, get them changed. Fragile little blighters.
Regarding the tyre pressure monitor.......look in the owners handbook for the initialising process. But make sure the tyres are all at good pressure first. Haven't got one handy, but its in there somewhere. I'll post it if you can't find it. Hoping that will cure that.
While the proper scanner is plugged in, ask them to "reset the steering angle sensor" with the wheels in the straight ahead position.
Will you report back on your findings please?
Good luck.
Andy.

Faults cleared off, tyre pressures reset, steering as straight as i could get. 100 mile in to today's trip and no faults so far, let's hope I haven't spoken too soon!!

Hi Andy, think what you say could be right, after everything was cleared this morning and reset, been out all 230 miles later and car has not missed a beat all day, didn't even need to give sensors a tap, nothing.andyfanshawe wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2017 1:52 amBit of a way from me!DaveZ4richardson wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2017 10:17 pm Hi Andy am over in Cumbria, car stands Monday to Friday most weeks.

This is so true Andy. Such a hardship. Already planning at least 2 days a week on my 80 mile round trip to work. Cheers for the valuable advice.
