bonnet catch adjustment?

Post by Buckz » Wed Jul 05, 2017 11:02 pm

Anyone know the actual location? My bonnet seems to be lifted in the center but fine on the sides..

There's probably 10-15 travel if I push it down

Not sure you can adjust the centre latch, but someone on here might know differently. However it could be the bumper out of alignment. When you remove the bumper, if you put it back on and don't push it in as you do up the torx screws you can be left with a panel gap, which may then look like the bumper is not closing properly. If you loosen the screws and then push the bumper forward and tighten them up it may fix the issue.

bonnet catch adjustment?

I wonder, I looked around and I can't see any adjustment in the center. It's not terrible but there's some travel which I do not expect to be there.. maybe I'm overreacting.

You can see the gap in the center, not sure if that's normal.

iPhone only so can't judge images
If the bonnet is too high you adjust by screwing the loop on the bonnet in after releasing the plastic locking cover.
Corners can be stabilised by screwing the rubber stops in or out. Later models have spring loaded adjusters
If a panel gap then as above adjust the bumper cover torx
