Stereo Fascia Recommendation

Post by scooobydont » Fri Jul 14, 2017 9:33 pm

Hi Folks,

I bought this kit to install my new Alpine stereo:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4-E85-E8 ... 2749.l2649

The loom was perfect but the fascia is a terrible fit, the hole in it is too small for the stereo by out 2mm. I have it in just now but its warped and bent and looks crap. Does anyone know of a fascia kit that actually works and looks good?

Forgot to add its for an E85 2003.

For what it is worth I tried two different facia kits to fit an aftermarket pioneer, one looks identical to yours. Both were awful fits. I am now planning to fit it in the rear cubby between the seats and control it remotely, but it is a big job so I will do it over winter.

It is a shame that nobody seams to make a half decent facia adapter.

Auto leads tend to make the better adaptors
But maybe never produced in enough numbers for fit to be made perfect
