Hello, looking for some advice on how to remove the eccentric shaft part number 11377515868 on the 2.5i N52 E85. I've replaced the VVT motor and replaced the eccentric shaft sensor. Unfortunately the worm gear on the VVT motor showed signs of wear and inspecting the half round toothed gear on the eccentric shaft, this showed that 2 + teeth were worn/chipped.
When you look at how the eccentric shaft is fixed in to position, it looks like you undo the half clams and the eccentric shaft comes straight out without any need to remove, adjust or interfere with the valves or cams or vanos so, I'm hoping its as simple as that. (I am an optimist)
Question - has anyone replaced the eccentric shaft and would give me some advice.
Many thanks.

Replacing the eccentric shaft on a 2.5i N52 E85
I managed to find a bit more information
http://workshop-manuals.com/bmw/3_serie ... aft_(n52)/
The part number for the replacement parts are
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/showpa ... Id=11_3748
Making sure to replace the needle roller bearings as well as the eccentric shaft. I have also replaced the VVT motor so we introduce new parts to new parts.
Lets see how the week develops.
