Drivers windscreen wiper
I was driving down the M6 this afternoon towards the M55. As it was a lovely August summer day, ie I had my wipers on as the rain poured down, my drivers side wiper suddenly decided to stop working and ended up resting on top of my door mirror but still attached at the spindle. I managed to get home but I am now asking if anybody else has experienced such a failure? I am going to have a look at it tomorrow, but any advice greatly appreciated

This happened on mine, the ball joint in the linkage was worn so much it popped out, it was a while ago but I think I fixed it with a washer and a split pin, I had to drill a hole for the split pin.

I had exactly the same yesterday in torrential rain on the motorway, very scary
Thanks sw4nny for ebay steer, I've just ordered the clip.
Online reviews look good and very easy to fit once you remove the wiper arms and the plastics.

Yes, the plastic cup that the ball sits in wears, and the ball pops out - i6 do these to stop it happening;
