Yes - I fitted it. Complete integrated system from microphone, harness, ULF module, etc.

Retrofit bluetooth on E85, anyone?

I've done it too, made up a harness to connect Bluetooth module on wall at back of boot with headunit. All connections are made at headunit, in addition you need a pairing button and aerial. Fairly hard work and lots of dismantling required.

I have volume issues on incoming calls but now believe this is a phone to Bluetooth compatability issue as there are lots of threads around the net in different bmw's.

Probably got some of the headunit and Bluetooth wiring pin details around. Bought cables from Audi and other parts from BMW, eBay etc.

Jeeper - where did you hack into car wiring? My headunit has to be on for Bluetooth to work as it is all run from audio harness.

I did not 'hack' per se. Used an aftermarket loom that breaks into the circuit near the rear bulkhead. Came with antennae, uprated mike, pairing button, etc.
Sourced ULF module off Ebay
Cradle and carpet from BMW

Agree that it's a huge amount of dismantling from dash to boot to get it all in, but works perfectly.

Took several calls roof down at up to 50mph at the weekend :)

Yes, ive seen that there are empty pins on the headunit for the BT Handsfree. I would really like a list of parts needed and some guidence for the operation:-)

Im makeing an AUX in this week, som when the unit is out, there a perfect time for BT mount:-)

There may well be a mike already in place by the rear view mirror. I was recommended to fit the enhanced one on top of the steering column cowl and so did it that way. It picks up the voice much better and is easier to wire to there

Thanks!
This is strange. My ca is no prepered for BT, but all z4 are produced in the US i think?

This is what they say:
"BMW Bluetooth Kit Retrofit Kit for ALL North American BMW Z4s or BMWs in other regions equipped or prewired for phone."

Only US cars are pre wired for BT, you will need to add the loom like we do in the UK.

UK cars are pre wired for CD changer, which other countries aren't go figure...
