Bluetooth woes

Post by Drexel » Mon Apr 02, 2012 3:15 am

I bought my 2004 Z4 3.0i about a week ago, and ever since I've been trying unsuccessfully to get my iPhone 4 working with it. I'm about ready to call it quits, give my BMW "bluetooth" the big one fingered salute & buy a 3rd party adapter (http://store.griffintechnology.com/bluetrip-aux). :headbang:

I'm fairly technical, and I've been able to pair my iPhone with about 8 other Bluetooth devices... but this piece has got me scratching my head. I tried following several different instructions (including those found here -> http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh ... ?t=1482728), but no joy.

I have the NAV unit, so I've got the screen and it has a Telephone menu... but there's no "pairing" or "bluetooth" option in that menu. What am I missing?

HELP!!!

Follow this guide (the pairing button is the rectangle one in the flip down centre console)

Thanks guys! That video is pretty dark and I couldn't see what button he was pressing...

Any chance you could e-mail that Wegras?

Thanks!

One thing to do if it still won't pair even when you've worked out the buttons and ignition key settings is to go through the process to delete all the existing pairings. Mine resolutely refused to pair until I did this. :headbang:
