What will happen if I replace my headunit?

Post by FrenchFry3.0 » Fri Feb 08, 2013 7:06 pm

Hey all,

I have the 10 speaker system with DSP but would like to change out my business CD headunit with a nice new pioneer headunit with all the trimmings.

Can anyone tell me if I will lose any of the 10 speakers by fitting the headunit in with a normal pioneer to BMW ISO lead?

Thanks in advance

Lee

Don't think it will work at all due to the DSP.

My understanding as well. The amp will not work at all without a proper digital signal. You would need new analogue amps, so you would want to give up some less important speaker pairs. You'll also need new subs, as the carver's have very queer electrical requirements.
