roof pump: can you get to it without removing top?
I've read somewhere that on a roof pump that still works, but not in full force, one can extend it's life by drying out the pump housing with a hair dryer. Question is: does this work, has anyone tried it? And if so, how do you get to this pump housing without removing the top?

1. You have to remove the roof to get to the pump
2. At least one person on here has driwd out the pump with sucess, although I dont know if it's still working or not.

You need to take the pump out anyway to make it waterproof otherwise you will have the same issue again shortly afterwards.
