Forest of Dean Loop

Post by Number5 » Tue Oct 01, 2013 9:48 pm

The forecast is reasonable for this Saturday (5th Oct), so if dry, I'm planning on taking a last, short drive out before Winter really sets in. The Wye Valley is also great this time of year with all of the Autumn colours !

I'm aiming to leave Aust Services (M48 Jcn2) about 10am, go over the Bridge (£6.20 Toll ), drive up through the Wye Valley, across from Monmouth to Speech House, then a blast from Lydney back down and over the Bridge to Aust by about 1pm. I know the area well and thought about a coffee stop at Beechenhurst (D), where there's plenty of parking.

If anyone wants to tag along feel free... Just be at the services by 9:30 and ready to go at 10am !
(and keep on eye on this post in case the weather changes!)

Cheers, No 5.
